We have been renovating the old nursing home in Mahone Bay for the new owner, Mark Mason, who purchased the building from the previous operators, MacLeod Cares.

The main building was constructed in 1855 as the Royal Hotel. It became a nursing home in 1964. The large two-storey addition was completed in 1990.

We are repurposing the existing structure, converting the building into 22 rental units from the previous 55 single bedrooms, with all-new building code upgrades and services.

We expect these new, modern, code-compliant apartments to be available for rent later in 2026.
